Jana Ringholz is a consultant in the Program Accreditation department of the German Accreditation Council, where she is responsible in particular for accreditation procedures in the fields of art, music, design and architecture as well as for the criterion of human and material resources (§ 12 para. 2 and 3 MRVO). She completed her studies in administrative sciences at the University of Konstanz with a degree in administrative sciences.
After graduating, she initially moved to private banking at a Swiss private bank in Zurich, where she worked as a consultant to the Market Group Head Germany. After several years of parental leave and a move back to Germany, she switched to the university sector, where she focused on Quality Management and university development. At a system-accredited university, she initially worked as a personal assistant to the rector and later took over the management of the Quality Management and Higher Education Development staff unit. There she was responsible for strategic projects and the expansion of quality management structures in studies and teaching.
She gained international experience before her studies: as an au pair in the USA, during a one-year language course at the Escola Oficial d’Idiomes in Barcelona and as a flight attendant in the long-haul service of an English airline.
