Yanna Sumkötter (1996) is a consultant in the Program Accreditation department of the German Accreditation Council, where she is responsible in particular for accreditation procedures in the health professions and in architecture.
She completed a double Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in German-Italian Studies at the University of Bonn and the Università degli Studi di Firenze, where she specialized in literary studies. During her studies, she worked as a student Auxiliary Staff at the Bonn Italy Center of the Faculty of Philosophy, as a German lecturer at the Università degli Studi di Firenze and as a freelance German and Italian teacher at the language institute “Bonn Lingua”. Most recently, she worked as a project manager and procedure supervisor at the accreditation agency ASIIN e.V. with responsibility for national and international accreditation procedures, work in scientific panels and international quality assurance networks (e.g. European Alliance for Subject-Specific and Professional Accreditation & Quality Assurance) as well as the conception and organization of conferences.
She gained International Affairs experience before her studies as a volunteer with “Bonniepeople Projects” in South Africa, as National Representative of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg at the Model European Parliament in Norwich in England and during a language study trip to Brighton in England.
