Dr. Alexander Weber (1981) was Coordinator from 2019-2022 and has been Head of Program Accreditation at the Accreditation Council’s Head Office since June 2022. He is also responsible for the specialist groups for social professions and dual study programmes.
Prior to this, he was an accreditation procedures and project manager at an accreditation agency for several years. There he was responsible for the planning and implementation of program accreditation procedures in Germany and abroad, supervised various internal agency committees and was involved in the (further) development of subject-specific reference frameworks for study programmes. Most recently, he worked as a consultant in Quality Management at a system-accredited higher education institution, where he was primarily involved in the planning and implementation of internal study program accreditations, advising those responsible for study programmes in all phases of the development and further development of study programmes and the further development of internal review processes.
He studied history and political science (M.A.) in Düsseldorf and completed his doctorate there on a topic related to the history of the Lower Rhine confessions in the early modern period.
