Ministry of Science, Energy, Climate Protection and Environment of the State of Saxony-Anhalt
Stefan Claus (1976) studied law at the University of Leipzig and completed his legal clerkship in the Free State of Saxony and Brandenburg. During his studies and legal clerkship, he specialized in labor law and, after passing his second state law examination, began his professional career in the human resources department of a hospital in Brandenburg and later in the Free State of Saxony. After six years in the healthcare sector, he joined a regional energy and utilities company in Saxony-Anhalt in 2011, where he held various positions in human resources and legal affairs until 2021.
After holding positions at the Ministry of the Interior and Sports of the State of Saxony-Anhalt and the Joint State Gambling Authority, Mr. Claus has been working as an advisor at the Ministry of Science, Energy, Climate Protection, and Environment of the State of Saxony-Anhalt, where he has been responsible for the areas of university medicine, higher education law, higher education legislation, and quality assurance since August 2025.
Since July 2026, he has been an Alternate Member (State Group) of the Accreditation Council.
