On November 5–6, 2026, the joint conference of the German Rectors’ Conference and the German Accreditation Council, in cooperation with the Foundation for Innovation in Higher Education, will take place at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg on the topic “Reorienting the Accreditation System in a Resilient Academic System: Strengthening Internationalization and a Culture of Quality.”
The discussion will focus on the future of the accreditation system and the strengthening of a culture of quality in higher education institutions. It will also address the opportunities and challenges posed by digitalization, artificial intelligence, European integration, and internationalization for quality assurance and development in academic programs and teaching.
The conference is aimed in particular at university administrators, faculty members, students, and individuals with leadership responsibilities in academic affairs, teaching, and Quality Management, as well as Representatives from the fields of higher education policy and accreditation.
