The German Accreditation Council is a joint initiative of the federal states for quality assurance in academic studies and teaching at higher education institutions in Germany. The Accreditation Council makes decisions regarding the accreditation of bachelor’s and master’s degree programs, institutional quality assurance systems, and Alternative Procedures.

We are seeking a candidate for the Accreditation Council’s Head Office in Bonn to start as soon as possible
Two full-time staff members (m/f/d) (up to Pay Grade 14 under the TV-L),
initially on a fixed-term contract through December 31, 2030.
Your responsibilities:
- They review applications for accreditation of bachelor’s and master’s degree programs and prepare them for a decision by the Accreditation Council.
- They are responsible for overseeing selected subject areas or disciplines at the university level.
- They are Representatives of the Accreditation Council in dealings with higher education institutions, Agencies, and other external partners.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- A successfully completed master’s degree or a comparable qualification
at DQR Level 7 or HQR Level 2. - Excellent ability to organize one’s own work independently, as well as a structured and reliable work style.
- You have a solid command of spelling and punctuation and possess strong, context-appropriate oral and written communication skills in German (ideally at the C2 level) and English.
- A strong commitment to customer service and a passion for collaborating with internal and external contacts.
- Proficiency in using common Microsoft Office applications and an openness to new digital applications.
- You are willing to take occasional business trips that require an overnight stay.
Ideally, you should also have:
- Several years of relevant professional experience in programme accreditation, such as through work in a higher education institution quality management system and/or at an accreditation agency.
- For one of the two positions, a technical background or a strong interest in STEM, the ”
” AI, or IT is desirable.
