Laws and decrees

The following provisions, in their revised versions, will only apply to applications submitted to the Accreditation Council on or after 1 April 2026:

• Obligation to publish the qualification objectives and intended learning outcomes in accordance with Section 11 (1) Sentence 1 MRVO.
• Obligation to publish the degree programme, programme structure, examination requirements, module descriptions, and admission requirements, including compensation measures for students with disabilities or chronic illnesses, in accordance with Section 12 (1) Sentence 6 MRVO.
• Concept for taking diversity into account in accordance with Section 15 MRVO.
• Section 17 (1), Sentences 5, 6 and 7: clarification of which procedural rules apply to system-accredited higher education institutions.
• Requirement for Accreditation Council approval for clusters of more than four degree programmes in accordance with Section 30 (2) MRVO.

These provisions will not be applied immediately, as they require higher education institutions to provide additional documents or to adjust internal processes in order to comply. To allow institutions sufficient time for implementation, the amendments will not take effect immediately.
